WORKSHOPS AND RESIDENCIES

- 2006: Wasanii International Artists workshop in Lamu, Kenya.

- 2006: A six months Commonwealth Arts and Crafts Award exchange programme at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

- 2005: A three month International Artist residency at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.

- 2005: Bata Pata International workshop at the Lake Chivero Park, Harare, Zimbabwe.

- 2005: Exchange Beadwork workshop with Samuel Thomas of Canada, he introduced the Iroquois beadwork technique to a group of Kenyan women and visual Artists.

- 2004: Mural painting with David Tremlett of United Kingdom at British Council Nairobi.

- 2004: Mosaics workshop with Jim Anderson of Architectural Mosaics-United Kingdom, at the Godown Art Centre Nairobi.

- 2004: Exchange with Artists in Meru.

- 2004: Life Drawing Workshop with Timothy Brooke at the Godown Arts Centre, Nairobi.

- 2003: Artists-in-residency in Cergy, France. Conducted children and women art workshops with three other Kenyan Artists and the Lezart Organization of Artists.

- 2003: Mixed media workshop, Museum Art Studio, Nairobi. Conducted by Cameroonian artist
Joel Mpah Dooh.

- 2003: Abstract painting workshop RaMoMa, Rahimtullah museum of Modern Art, Nairobi. Conducted by South African abstract painter, Dinkies Shithole.

- 2002: Painting workshop conducted by Tanzanian artist Muhammad Raza together with Uganda’s Kizito Maria Kasule and Kenya’s Chain Muhandi.

- 2001: Bead art workshop, Sinya Omelok camp, Kajiado.

2000: Chainsaw sculpting workshop, Museum Art Studio. Conducted by Ugo Giacometti, Swiss artist.

SPECIAL PROJECTS.

- 2004: Participated in Expo 2005 Aichi –Africa Pavilion Symbol/ Façade Concept Design Competition.

- 2003: International artists’ exchange program between 4 Kenyan artists and the Lezart Organization of Artists in France. We carried out several workshops which included teaching children.

- 2003: Healing through art, basic art instruction project with an American artist, Jessica Gerschultz at Kenyatta National Hospital. Facilitated by RaMoMa, Rahimtullah Museum of Modern Art.

- 2002: Reproduction of my artwork in NIC Bank Calendar.
2002: Teaching street children at Undugu Society’s Dandora Boys’ rehabilitation Centre, Nairobi.

- 2001-2002: Enormous Woman; a six-woman international public project. Sculpture installed at the Kenyatta National Hospital. Facilitated by Kitengela Bush Glass and Kuona Trust.
2001: Art Bus, painting of artwork on the Kenya Bus public transport vehicles, sponsored by Kuona Trust.
